Introduction

At Royal Liver Building 360  we are incredibly proud of our home and the wider Liverpool City Region. It is also really important to us that  we are upholding the values that saw the foundation of the Royal Liver Friendly Society over 170 years ago.

We strive to be an active part of the Liverpool City Region community both in how we operate as a business as well as in how we support local initiatives.

Sustainability

As a tenant in the Royal Liver Building we are also part of a larger building which has been given a number including the Green Apple Award. The building also takes part in initiatives such as Urban Beekeeping with hives on the 10th floor of the building.

At Royal Liver Building 360 we strive to be as sustainable as possible including the following actions

  • Reducing as much as possible disposable plastic packaging
  • Working with local suppliers as much as possible
  • Utilising recycled paper products where possible
  • Energy Efficient Lighting with Motion sense to minimise waste energy
  • Dual Flush Toilets to reduce water usage.
  • Minimising Printing where possible and using electronic systems

Charity

We support a number of charities both large and small with anything from fundraising to raffle prizes. Our charity partners are selected through our team and what is important to them, with the only requirement being they must work to benefit the residents of the Liverpool City Region.

Since 2024 our key charity partner has been Liverpool Womens Hospital Charity. This was selected by our team as a charity they wished to represent due to the connections they felt with it. Our fundraising takes many forms with staff taking part in events such as the Santa Dash, organising collections of required items to coin collectors at reception. We have also hosted complimentary events for the LWHC to thank partners who support them.

Previously we have proudly worked with other locally based charities such as Fans Supporting Foodbanks and Alder Hey Childrens Charity through various support initiatives.

Suppliers

We work to ensure that as much of our Retail stock comes from the LCR, working with larger companies whose ethos matches our own such as WildThang, based in Bootle. As a B Corp status company their passion for sustainability ensures we are working with a partner who provides quality products while minimising their impact on the environment

We also support several local artists such as Moo & Snip, Stratus Imagery, The Jones Boys, Geoff Drake and Rebecca Christian stocking their products within the shop. We work with small suppliers based locally who are looking for locations to support their products such as Dockside 3D printing and local authors. As well as this we have worked with local distillery the Handmade Gin Company (based on the Wirral) to develop our bespoke Gins while also stocking Think Wines based Liverpool City Centre.

It is incredibly important for us to support these businesses and continue to showcase the talent, creativity and products from these local suppliers.

Engagement

We strive to be active members of the business and local community. We are members of the Waterfront Strategy Group & Liverpool Attractions Group working with these partners to help shape ideas that are beneficial to residents and visitors to the City Region.

We regularly attend networking with various partners such as Link and LCRDP events as well as either hosting or being part of events that take place in the building.

We are active with Marketing Liverpool on any campaign to help promote the city and region to visitors attending trade shows such as BETA events, BIM and UKInbound Events as well as Hamburg Port Festival to help showcase the entire city region.
